Super Secret Project Revealed!

I’m pretty sure my heart skipped a few beats when I came across these old school biology charts. Once used in a school room, these pull down charts display everything from frog cells to twin formation. Each chart is illustrated in soft colors and shades. They easily make things like frog eggs and reproduction look interesting and beautiful at the same time.

The charts are set on canvas and attached to a wood rod that runs along the bottom. Distributed by the Chicago based company Denoyer-Geppert, I believe the illustrations and research for each chart was done in Berlin as the names of the professors are written in German as well as stated in the each corner.

Each chart displays“number tabs” on each corner, the professor’s names, location, and the scientific name of the chart.

Each chart measures approx 39.5” x 47” a nice statement piece for any wall!

Happy Weekend!

Is it really Friday already? So much as happened this week. I chopped my hair off (!), celebrated the grand opening of the boutique, and worked on my super secret project.
How was your week? Any fun weekend plans lined up? I'm going to meet some friends for dinner tonight and hopefully get some major time outside in the sun (if it ever comes out).
I also wanted to share this little post Food and Wine Magazine did on Hello Victory's
picnic basket! I love how mainstream sites are discovering Etsy and branching out from "brand new" finds all time. Its nice to see a mix.
Have a great weekend!

And a Happy 4th to You!

I just added some more things to the shop before I head out for the weekend.
Aren't this small bird plates pretty?
They would look really pretty randomly placed on a wall or with your hung plate collection.
What are you plans for the 4th? We rented a cottage with some friends near the BWCA in Grand Marais for the weekend. I love it up there. Its right on Lake Superior and bordering thousands of miles of complete wilderness. Ben proposed to me in Grand Marais so its near and dear to my heart :) We're also planning on doing a 10k trail run up there too. I'm so excited to sit around in the sun and grill delicious foods! It's my dads birthday on the 4th, so I have to be sure to send him some love (he'll be golfing all day no doubt).
Have a wonderful holiday!!!
