I finally had time to list some things I had gotten for the shop weeks ago. If you missed my last post, I started a new a job and so shop updates won't be as frequent. They will, however, include lots of awesomeness. Today's update fits the bill. I'm in love with pretty much everything and it's been hard to resist keeping it for myself, but I've watched too many episodes of Hoarder to let that happen.

Life has been good. I love my new job and I am so excited fall is here! I am already planning on loading up on hot cocoa and tea. I hope you have a great weekend and check out the new stuff here. xx

New to shop

Sorry for the long hiatus. I was in Vegas for work all last week and this week I decided to take a full time job offer! I am super excited for my new job, but it will take some getting used to as I have been working primarily from home the last 3 years! I have decided to keep Hello Victory going, but updates will probably be happening on weekends instead of during the week.

It's been over a year since I had arrows in the shop and I'm happy to report that they're back! They got a lot of press when I first had them and sold out quickly. I finally found some more and kept some for myself this time too :) You will also find some other Mid-Century decor like the illustrated matchboxes and bird note holder. Go check it out!

It's good to be back in action and I hope you all are doing well!

I don't know about you, but my summer is starting to get a little crazy busy. It seems like the month of August is just a big mad dash to fit everything in. I'll be leaving for Vegas on Monday for a week so I wanted to get in one last shop update. My favorite item is the Viking tapestry. How cool is that? I love the colors and Mid-Century illustrations.

On a sad note, I think my camera died today. I've been planning on getting a nicer one anyway, but I was hoping to wait until September. It's also to bad because I found a bunch of awesome things to put in the shop this afternoon but it will have to wait until I get back from Vegas. Boo.

Woot woot! It's Friday and I have an amazing weekend planned. Before I get started on my plans I updated the shop with a few things. I have two, not one, but two Hudson Bay blankets for sale and they're gorgeous. I love the green color which is so rare to come by. How fun are those cups too? I'm almost tempted to keep them for myself and have a little summer party. If I did, I would make these to go in them. I hope you have a great weekend!!

New stuff just added! The butterfly looking thing is actually a gold brooch/pendant from the modern sculptor Dani Karavan. Isn't it gorgeous? I love that old lock too. It comes with the combo so it's ready to be put to use. I should be updating the shop on Friday so check back for even more cool stuff! Hope you're having a great Wednesday!

I'm sorry I haven't been so consistent with the shop lately. Now that it's summer I find myself getting swept up in lots of activities. I have lots of new stuff for the shop, it's just a matter of listing them! I got home from the cities today and with the sun still shining managed to take some pictures and list a few favorites. Finally! A normal shop update. The sun has been out the last couple days so I finally got some product photos taken. I'm really in love with that wood pink cooler. Isn't it perfect for enjoying summer beverages on your front porch or at the beach? The glasses in the photo are covered in a super cool woven fabric. Sorry to say, those are staying with me! I've had a crazy last two weeks so updating the shop has been on the back burner lately. It's also been gray and rainy every time I have a moment to take some photo's so that doesn't help either. I did manage to get this cute canvas and wood stool in the shop though. I love old camping stuff like this. I have loads of other great stuff coming. Happy Wednesday! I just added these things to the shop. Don't you think that bait canteen would make a great Father's Day gift? My dads more into golfing than fishing, but I know quite a few dad's that live to fish in the summer. My week is going by so fast. The weather hasn't been all that nice, but it's given me time to work on things inside of the house like organizing all my vintage finds. We have company coming next week so it's good motivation to start cleaning and getting the house ready for summer guests. I hope you all are enjoying week!

Believe it or not I use to skateboard. Well sorta, I used to longboard which is tad bit different. I still have my sector 9 in the garage. Every now and then I think of pulling it out for a ride but then I remember I live on a huge hill and am not the brave teenager I once was. Maybe, just maybe this summer I'll get up the courage for a ride again.

Tomorrow I'll be adding these awesome old school skateboards to the shop. I love how their so narrow and basic. I always thought these would look pretty sweet in a kids room or a cool place to set plants on.

Hello! Happy Monday. I had the best weekend. It was filled with lots of sun, friends, food, and the BEST ESTATE SALE ever. You wouldn't believe this place! I found so many great things I don't even know where to begin. For starters, here are some of my finds that I just put in the shop. How cute is that tapestry? Seriously, so cute. That little orange enamel egg is actually a sewing Etui from Germany WWII. It opens up to reveal a bobbin holder and thimble. Too neat. Sorry it's been so long since I've updated the shop. My weekends have been consumed by birthday parties and people visiting, so I haven't had much time for estate sales/thrifting. I did manage to go this last weekend and just put some new things in the shop. I am super tempted to keep the silhouette for myself as it looks pretty good hanging in my office currently, but for now it will be for sale. It's really large, so it looks nice next to other old paintings and art. I hope you are having a great week!

Hello Victory's hotdish/ casserole carrier was just featured in Apartment Therapy's The Kitchn. I also found this little vintage holder to be pretty nifty. It was handmade and if any of you are good at sewing it might be a good idea to make a few and sell them on Etsy. Unfortunately I don't sew all that well and I only had one available. Just a thought! Happy Friday! Woot Woot! I just updated the shop with a couple of cool finds. I have been contemplating whether or not to sell the stag brooch for awhile now. I absolutely LOVE it, but I never ever wear brooches. I thought maybe it would be perfect for someone who does. This job can get tough stuff sometimes! I think this antique fire extinguisher is pretty neat too. Old industrial stuff always pulls at my heart strings. Sorry for long absence! I was out of town for a week and I am finally getting back into the swing of things. I just updated the shop with these different, but oh-so-cool finds. The little handmade wood box has a little message under it that reads: "Souvenir De Jean Et Fernande Morvan Chicago 31 Octobre 1946". How cool is that? It makes you wonder what special things we're kept safe inside. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying spring!

Just a few things that I just put in the shop that remind me of spring. Fresh, light colors are getting me so excited for sunshine and beach season. I've been going through my closet organizing my summer clothes and finding out what I need. Isn't it funny how every season you think you have NO clothes? What did I wear last summer I wonder? I just added a few more things to the shop. I found these awesome German wood building blocks that come in cute wooden cases. There's a small version and large version. Even if you don't have kids, I think these would be so neat displayed on book shelf don't you? I love old toys, especially of the wood variety.

I also added some pretty crescent dishes that have flowers painted on them. I love mix matching vintage plates. These would make for a very special meal in my book!

Hello! How was your Christmas? Mine was pretty wonderful. We we're trapped in Duluth due to a blizzard that dropped 19" of snow! We ended up just chilling with other family members that stayed in town and did a lot of shoveling! I'm still getting things ready for a shop update, but I did add a few things today. Next week I will start adding stuff regularly again. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you some of my favorites on Etsy right now: I really want this pillow! I love the bleached look and the triangles.
I already have a few of these at my house, but not nearly as pretty.
I love these vintage YSL earrings made from old zipper pulls.

I'm hoping to buy one of these in the near future. So pretty!

How was your weekend? Mine was very Christmasy (is that word?). We cut down our Christmas tree and spent all of Saturday decorating the house and making it look festive. Friday! Yes! I love the weekends, don't you? Tomorrow Ben and I are going to cut down a Christmas tree and get the house holiday ready. I can't wait! Do you have any fun plans? I just updated the shop with some new things. Here's a glimpse: {I'm not really sure what this was used as, but I do know it would make for an awesome tray for plants!}

It's a dreary grey Monday up here in Duluth. I really feel like just napping all day, but I have a million things to do before Thanksgiving break. How was your weekend? I had a food fest at my house. Ben and I whipped up a bunch of homemade goodness and on Friday we had a crab leg dinner at our house. It was so much fun! You can see some of the dinner here. Happy Monday! How was your weekend? The sun actually popped it's head out on Saturday so Ben and I went for a long hike in the woods and strung some lights outside! Christmas Decor is up!

Can you believe Christmas is next month already? I can't! It sneaks up so fast I decided to start putting up some vintage Christmas decor in the shop that I had been saving. I think you will like what I added: {I love this tapestry so much I hung on to it for a year. Isn't she precious? I think this is perfect for a modern home or a person who just wants a little holiday decor in their house without going overboard}

{Handmade cross-stitched greetings are always nice. Especially when little elves make up the letters :)}

{Vintage scenery for a vintage display? I think so!}

{And of course you need a vintage display for the scenery....I love these Japanese putz houses. Made from paper they look magical when lit up}

Hello friends! Sorry for all the sporadic posts lately. Its been a busy busy fall. I am heading to Chicago for market this Friday and will be gone until next Wednesday. Its hard to believe I will be buying clothes for early summer when it hasn't even snowed here yet! I thought I would update the shop with some new things before I head out. I promise to have more updates and sneak peeks in the next few weeks. {This mid-century bottle opener is so cute. It has both a wine and beer opener!}

Hello there! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty fun. The race went really well and I managed to consume buckets of greasy food and cheap beer as a reward. Happy Friday! I am off to the south shore of Wisconsin to run a trail half marathon tomorrow! Its suppose to snow so I'm not sure how I feel about that. I guess I don't have to worry about heat exhaustion! This shop update is probably one of my favorites. I really wanted to keep EVERYTHING for myself, but I know these items will find a new happy home. {How beautiful is the candle holder?! The trees, deer, ahhh its perfect}
{I think this wood cow crest is kinda cool. I think it would be really cute in a kids room}

{If I were a teacher I would definitely use this. This little file holder is filled with games for elementary school children}

Remember this? I love when I get to see where the items I sell end up. I was just checking my google analytics and came across this blog that had mentioned Hello Victory. I was so delighted to see that my vintage locker basket, clock, and bird we're part of this office makeover in Finland!

I love the color on the walls. What a great room! Its nice to see the items are going to such beautiful and loving homes :)

I've been experimenting with how to photograph jewelry (no east task mind you), and finally got the idea to use my new skull! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and will now be on the lookout for more necklaces and such. I have some in the shop now if you are interested. Thanks!

I'm back from my 2 week vacation. I had a wonderful time in both Vegas and Hawaii, but it feels good to be home and back in the swing of things. So sorry I haven't been posting much! I have been insanely busy this month and its only going to get busier so I thought I would update the shop with LOTS of new things today! I will be leaving for 2 week starting next Monday and the shop will be on vacation mode from August 31st-September 11Th. You can read more about that here. I hope you are all having a great week and I will try to stop by one more time before I fly away for a couple weeks!

I was so darn lucky to snag two of these necklace yesterday from the lovely Kate Miss of For Me, For You. She is one talented lady and it shows! Even the display she made from a piece of discarded wood is amazing! She will be adding a few more next week so if your interested check her blog for more details or join her mailing list.
